WHAT A WEEK! It’s been the grand slam week for Hickstead, with both the Hickstead Dressage International CDI5*, AND the Longines Royal International at the jumping arenas.
Caruso and I got invited to ride at the International CDI 1000 Club for two days and we’ve just had the best time EVER. Ah, I’m so grateful. Big man has grown so much lately, not just size wise but in character and experience from both the Dressage Masters and the Hickstead Summer Champs, and now this!
The first day in the international arena, with all that comes with it, Caruso didn’t reeeally get to his total top zone he can get at home now, but hey I was still suuper pleased considering the huge event going on around us. How he can work at home now is still fresh so going out to an event like this some loss of it is no biggie. Over night Caruso slept next to Team GB and Team USA and I think he got quite a lot of great tips from them top seniors, because he had slept like a baby over night and was completely cool and on it day 2. He totally rocked it to the best of his ability & I think I was smiling the whole test through:) Caruso just took me for a ride better then ever so far!
Very proud of where Caruso has come lately. He has grown into his body and found so many new gears this summer and it’s just such a joy to work with him, travel and compete him.
So much love and thank you especially to Caroline Edgeley for this opportunity, to Sune Hansen and Spring Hill Dressage for top training and of course to Equestrian Stockholm, Longines, PM Equestrian & Celeris Boots for dressing us very smart! <3
