THIS IS without a doubt the hardest part with being a professional rider (and a sensitive human full of feelings for my horses) – the goodbyes.
Big Ben, or Zovidius, has been in my barn since I started on my own 2 years ago. He has taught Caruso all he knows about playing in the field and hacking out in the forest. But most of all I’m proud to tears of what he has done for his owner Sarah, and what Sarah has done for him. When we found him he came from everything but a pampered background and to see how he has grown into a proud, stunning, calm and shiny dancer is an amazing reminder of why I’m doing what I’m doing. But even if I know Ben will have a rockstar retirement with his new owner we will miss him a lot (especially Caruso) and the stable feels very empty today.
Bye Bear <3
Huge, HUGE amounts of love and thank you to Sarah de Martin for the love and support that makes it possible for us to develop horses to where they’re supposed to be. Looking much forward to the future <3
