BREAKFAST with Alois Podhajsky and getting inspired for another full day of practise at Oldencraig!
BEING A SENSITIVE human is not always easy – but it’s essential if you wish to be genuinely successful with animals. Here are some routines I use on a daily basis to clear my mind, protect and sharpen up my horsey senses:
1. Schedule time for yourself. Spending time alone creates the space needed to release emotions, energy and stress.
2. Do a short meditation every day. It quiets the mind so you can center, be present, think and act clearer.
3. Soothing sounds. Relax yourself using meditation music or nature sounds, on your way to the stable or during your meditation. Your ponies will appreciate the calm you bring!
4. Yoga. Yoga is a great practice for the human part of the equipage, because it combines breathing, centering and grounding. An efficient way to raise vibrational energy, increase awareness and control of your whole body – which is essential for a good rider! And it doesn’t matter what shape you’re in, yoga is for everyone.
5. Eat organic. The sentence ”You become what you eat” has a point. I always shop organic food, and I also avoid gluten and lactose because it stagnates your metabolism and slows down your inside system.
Practice to cleanse your energy on a daily basis, this way or another. It will protect your animals from doing that job for you. So also your horse enjoys your time together and #HocusPocus you’ll make #MagicHappen.

SENDING A postcard from my New Years vacation in Megève! I took a week to ride the slopes of Mont Blanc, meditating in the snow, eating loads of healthy fooood and enjoying some vin chaud with the favorits. Happy times!

JUST GOT back to New York after spending the Swedish midsummer weekend in Philadelphia, to celebrate the wedding of my beautiful friends Emelie & Dean, founders of the organic Wyebrook Farm. I can hardly describe the beauty of this wedding in words, neither can I enough support the production of their organic, purely healthy food. Emelie & Dean cares for their animals and land with their whole heart and soul. They are totally aware of true quality, and having such a genuine mission. I usually don’t eat a lot of meat, as it’s very hard to find pure and clean meat in US. (What you eat has a great impact of your energy, which has a great impact of your horse! No hippie shit.) But on Wyebrook I’m more then happy to eat three burgers a day, and I can absolutely not get enough of their RAW grass fed cow milk !
Eat organic peeps, and if you ever go to Philadelphia – go experience Wyebrook Farm. PLEASE.
A LITTLE LATE Valentine’s post here. But if you have ANY love left to spare, I know who really could use it. If there is anything I truly feel for, and that can change my normal calm & love to frustration, it’s when humans fuck up the life for our earth’s rare wild horses. The Government i Canada wants to kill 200 of them, because those wild horses live on some nice land that the Government want to use. BUT this wild herd have been roaming this land for hundreds of years! So please, humans, if you have 200$ or time to sign a petition give it to those wild ones!
MORE ABOUT me here. Because the function and awareness of the rider is of such great importance. This might sound like hippie shit to some of you, but fact is that your energy as a rider will reflect in your horse and affect him tremendously. Ever heard your horse is a mirror to your soul? Yes. However, one way to stay radiant from the inside out is to eat with full awareness. Organic food, and a detoxing juice cleanse at times does have a huge impact. Today’s after ride awesomeness is from Healing Home Foods at the lovely local market Table, in Bedford Hills. LOVE ITTT!
